Top Ten Paintball Tactics
As paintball players we all know that strategy is a very, if not the most, important part of the sport. Strategy can be broken down into a few different categories: safety, equipment, positions, and teamwork.
The top paintball technique in the category of safety includes:
-Paintball safety, which is being aware that nothing is more important than the safety of everyone. That includes your team, your opponent, the referees, and the spectators. Safety is usually learned through experience so please pull the newbie aside and make them aware of safety precautions.
Top Techniques include:
-Know your marker and check it before going on to the field. This includes checking the screws, having a clean gun, and knowing the capacity of your hopper.
-Be aware of the good and bad things about your marker and use this information to your advantage.
-When buying goggles try to get some with thermal lenses to prevent fogging. If you can’t get thermal lenses make sure you have plenty of anti-fogging solution on hand.
Good positioning techniques include:
-Look for obstacles that offer the maximum protection while allowing you to look around and shoot back.
-Always be ready to move at any moment and don’t put yourself into positions where your legs or arms will fall asleep.
-Try to position yourself in the shade and you won’t cast a shadow, tipping off your position.
-When looking around an obstacle or bumper look at the side rather than over the top.
Good teamwork techniques are:
-Stay away from an area where a teammate has just been shot because that area is now a hotspot.
-When a teammate is advancing on an opponent shoot in the direction of the opponent to divert attention from the teammate towards you.
