Top Ten Paintball Fields
With the huge popularity of paintball sports there is a very good variety of fields in which to play the game with more being built every day. Just about every decent sized city in every state has a paintball field so you shouldn’t have problems finding a place to play. But there has to be a list of the cream of the crop of paintball fields and these top ten fields have been selected from various lists from databases and publications dealing with paintball sports.
Number 10 is Splat Paintball in Canal Fulton, Ohio. The owner and staff of this business are very knowledgeable about the sport and willing to help anyone who needs help. At this writing, Splat had three wooded and three Speedball fields with a mixture of experienced and inexperienced players. One complaint about this place is the walk from the actual check in to the fields. The Compound Paintball Field in Ellensburg Washington has two fields one of which is a Speedball and the other is a Rec-Ball type field. This field seems to be a favorite field of tournament players so that is why it is Number 9. Stalker Paintball in Wisconsin is our number 8 choice. This Paintball facility is located near Wisconsin Dells which puts it in a prime vacation spot. Besides good location, Stalker has 8 diverse playing fields. They have such fields as The Oaks which is full of different kinds of bunkers for the player who loves bunkers. Check out the Maze field which is built in a jungle type environment. Number 7 is a field located in Birmingham, Alabama. Advanced Alabama Adventure or AAA has been in business since 1989. This place has 7 different playing fields and it seems like they are changing the fields every year. In the State of New York Number 6 is GRC paintball. It has 50 acres of awesome playing fields. They have over 40 construction buildings, towers, and forts as well as trails, roads, ravines, and other land. Number 5 is Old River Paintball located in Ocklawaha, Florida. Old River has 40 acres of land with 12 different fields to choose from. The plus here is you can play in good weather all year round. Fourth place goes to Paintball USA in Cypress, Texas, a facility with over 113 acres and 9 fields. Like all the major paintball facilities they have some great bunkers ranging from spools to teepees to drums. Paintball USA is known for their Scenario games. Commando Paintball in Abrams, Wisconsin is the home for Number 3 on the list. One of the greatest features about this 21 acre facility besides the 3 story castle is the price. Walk on price with equipment rental comes in at $45 for all day. They also offer a 3 hour weekday deal for $35 and players with their own equipment get a $15 all day pass with $7 air refill. Number 2 is White River Paintball in Indiana. It is Indiana’s largest paintball facility with 125+ acres of paintball playing area. They have been serving paintball enthusiasts since 1999. The Number 1 paintball field in the US has to be the MCAS Miramar Paintball Field located at the Marine Corps Air Station in San Diego California. They claim to have the largest paintball arena in the world. They call it the “megarena” and it is part of the Marine Corps Community Services complex. It measures 120’ x 200’. There is also a field pro on hand, Team Dynasty member, Todd Martinez, who is one of the best players in the world. This place is just awesome! Check it out!
